07-11-2016· I don't think I want a knee mill. I might go with a used bridgeport later, but I am not interested in rebuilding a mill. I am thinking more working out of the box. Same with not getting HF, since I would be fixing it as soon as I bought it. So as of today. I am looking at PM 932 and grizzly G0755. (I could change and may change tomorrow)

08-01-2018· Still alot of mill for the money. Probably would just have ordered the grizz but the price increase got me mullin it over. I am extremely gun shy about used machinery but I can go 50 miles from me and get a refurbished bridgeport from H and W machine. Pay a couple K more but its a like new US made Bridgeport.

23-05-2006· Don't own a bridgeport or that Grizzly mill. My concern would be the motor, most of the Griz "b-port" clones at the "tent sale" have crapped out motors, and it is usually not a standard mounting. If I got one I would make it a priority to make an adapter to mount a "standard" motor. Much easier done before the OEM motor smokes, then after.

It's not a Bridgeport but it only cost me about 1/8th the price of a Bridgeport and I can get it into my shop and move it myself if I need to. 07-11-2016· I personally don't see much difference other then color & price between Grizzly & HF. I've had to clean the casting sand out of both. Who ever did the electrical in my HF knee mill took great pride in their work. It looks like a master piece inside the casting. Every wire is so neatly place ever terminal is so uniformed in length.

26-02-2007· 3. It's a shame that Grizzly stopped carrying the Taiwanese 9x42 knee mills. The model discontinued in 2003 or 2004 was the G4027, made completely out of Meehanite. It was identical to the current Jet JTM-2 that I own, except for the price (the Jet is $5200, the Grizzly was $4400), and the Grizzly included an X-axis powerfeed.
