Then I would talk to the guys that work there, the guys that run the machines and especially the guys that fix and maintain them. Some of the maintenance in the manual is ridiculous and it completely misses some other things.
Usually, manufacturers specify a schedule of when, what, and how to keep your equipment in good condition. If needed, train your staff to include machine maintenance as part of their duties and responsibilities, not an option. Work closely with your maintenance staff, especially if you have an in-house maintenance team.
