Project Overview: The Marshall County 5 North #4 Airshaft is a dual compartment (intake/return) shaft, used as a primary source of ventilation for mining progression in the Marshall County mine. The shaft measured 24 feet in finished diameter and ran approximately 920 feet from the top of surface concrete to the bottom of coal.
