The high banker is a device that cobbles two traditional machines of the Old West prospector. It is mainly composed of a hopper and a sluice. The hopper holds material and feeds it on to the sluice at an adjusted rate. Note that in a river or creek, the angle the sluice is held at does not have to be extreme due to the power of running water.
