01-06-2010· I have a HP Pavilion DV2058ea laptop that is just three years old. Its been a great laptop until now. I was having screen issues today, and then suddenly, the laptop died. When I turned it back on, the screen was blank. It was not blacked out/powerless, it was just black, like it was about to show the windows xp logo but it doesn't.

04-03-2013· Since the screen is still shaking inside the BIOS the problem is most likely hardware related. My next suggestion would be to try and connect an external display to the computer and determine if the screen shakes on the external display. If it shakes on the external display the graphics card has a problem.
