Nov 15, 2006· Older Enco lathe. I have recently purchased an Enco 10X36 bench lathe from a school auction. At first look it wasn't in too bad of shape "but". Now after clean up I find that it is in sad need of replacemet gears in the quick change area and of course I can't get any help from ENCO since they fazed out this machine in 1986.

Jan 14, 2020· Yes the lathe should be ground, is it three phase or straight 110 - 220 volt single phase. Either way add a ground if non supplied on the machine. Wax works but lanolin n mineral spirits works for rust . Oily rags do to just don't pile them up . Get a copy of Manuel or comparative model to find all oil sites n lube point. Good luck with her .

I have not used any of the Chinese lathes before, other than my Micro 8x14 which is ok (but not great). Anyone have any experience with this machine, or any Enco lathes. Also, anyone have specific knowledge or experience with the Knuth versions (which are more expensive).
